Need a person? Email appstore@mui.co.jp. Please say which iPhone and iOS version you are on, and whether an Apple Watch is involved.

No steps are showing

Yaoki reads your steps from Apple Health, so it needs permission. Check Health app → Sharing → Apps → Yaoki and make sure Steps is on.

Health permissions are unusual: iOS never tells an app that it was denied, only that there is no data. So a permission problem and a genuinely empty day look identical from inside Yaoki. If you are sure you have walked, the permission screen is the first place to look.

On a new iPhone, Health may also still be syncing its history from iCloud. Give it a while and use Recalculate from Health in Settings.

My streak is wrong

Tap Recalculate from Health in Settings. This throws away the running total and re-counts every day from your Health data, which fixes a streak that drifted because Health back-filled steps after the fact — common if you also wear a watch, or if a day's steps arrived late.

If it is still wrong, check these in order:

The widget is out of date

Widgets do not run continuously. iOS gives every widget a limited refresh budget and decides when to spend it, so a widget can lag the app by a while — this is a system limit, not something an app can override.

Opening Yaoki always refreshes it. For the widget to show today's steps without opening the app, Motion & Fitness must be enabled in Settings → Privacy & Security → Motion & Fitness.

The Apple Watch app or complication is wrong

The watch does not read Health itself. The iPhone sends it two numbers — your daily goal and your current streak — so the watch is only as current as the last time the two were in range of each other.

Open Yaoki on the iPhone with the watch nearby to push a fresh copy. Complications also refresh on their own schedule, set by watchOS.

The reminder never arrives

The reminder is Nudge me if a run is at risk in Settings, and it needs notification permission: Settings → Notifications → Yaoki.

It is deliberately quiet. It only fires when a streak you already have is genuinely at risk — not every day, and not when you have already hit the goal or the day is a day off.

I got a new iPhone

Your settings — daily goal, days off, any manual streak number, and your day edits — come back automatically through your iCloud account.

Your step history is not copied by Yaoki, because Health already holds it. Once Health has finished restoring on the new phone, Recalculate from Health rebuilds the streak from it.

Does it drain the battery?

No. Yaoki does not track you continuously or run in the background. It reads totals from Health when you open it, and the widget uses the device's own pedometer, which is a dedicated low-power chip.

Privacy

Yaoki has no servers, no analytics, and no third-party code. Your health data is never sent anywhere — not to the developer, not to anyone. See the privacy policy for the detail.
